The Journey That Became Mama Tulia Ministries

Mama Tulia was born from one mother’s personal journey through grief, fear, and hope. In 2014, Isabelle lost her first premature baby, born at only 26 weeks after severe pre-eclampsia. She held him only twice before saying goodbye forever. 2years later, history seemed ready to repeat itself.

At 33 weeks, another emergency delivery became necessary. Memories of her previous loss filled every moment with fear as her tiny daughter was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit. For 30days, the NICU became home. Every visit strengthened Isabelle’s determination. She spoke words of life over her daughter, celebrated every small milestone, and found new hope through Kangaroo Mother Care(KMC). Holding her baby skin-to-skin transformed fear into faith and gave her confidence that together they would overcome.

Her daughter survived.

But as Isabelle looked around the neonatal ward, she realized many other mothers were facing the same fears often alone, without encouragement, practical support, or someone who truly understood. She made a decision that no mother of a premature baby should ever walk that journey alone. From that promise, Mama Tulia Ministries was born.

Today, thousands of hospital visits, home visits, Kangaroo Care Wrappers, Retinopathy of Prematurity(ROP) screenings, caregiver trainings, and the Tulia Tender Nest Transition Home all exist because one mother’s pain became another family’s hope.

> Every mother we serve reminds us why Mama Tulia exists: because every premature baby deserves a chance to live, and every family deserves someone to walk beside them.
