Supporting Families in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)

At our organization, we regularly visit hospitals across the central and western regions of the country to support mothers and their premature babies in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start in life, and we are committed to providing essential medical support, care, and resources to make this possible.

One of our key initiatives is the distribution of preemie kits. These thoughtfully assembled kits contain vital items such as preterm diapers, baby blankets, onesies, socks,hats and kangaroo care wrappers—each carefully selected to meet the unique needs of premature infants. These kits not only support daily care but also significantly improve the babies’ chances of survival and promote healthy growth and development.

Beyond material support, we provide compassionate psychosocial and spiritual care to mothers during this emotionally and physically challenging journey. Through counseling, encouragement, and presence, we remind families that they are not alone—we walk alongside them every step of the way.

Our Key Support Activities

Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Training:–We are thrilled to have distributed 7,679 wrappers. Empowering mothers with essential skills to care for their preterm babies through skin-to-skin contact.

Moments of Encouragement:– Offering emotional support and reassurance to strengthen hope and resilience.

Counseling Services -Providing guidance and a safe space for mothers to share their experiences.

Preemie Kit Distribution:- Over the years, mothers have received 2,850 preemie kits delivering essential supplies that directly improve neonatal care and outcomes.
